Overview

The Rwandan Technical Talent Initiative (RTTI) is a flagship program focused on equipping Rwanda’s youth with advanced digital skills, addressing the national skills gap, and positioning Rwanda as a leader in digital talent.

The Technical Learning Center Managers are instrumental to the success of RTTI. They bring together technical expertise, leadership, and operational management skills to deliver high-quality in-person workshops and seminars across three designated learning centers while managing day-to-day operations at their primary center. A key aspect of their role is mobilizing potential learners to ensure maximum program enrollment.


Key Responsibilities

Mobilization and Outreach

  • Implement targeted outreach campaigns to drive learner enrollment in assigned areas.
  • Establish partnerships with community leaders, schools, and local organizations to promote RTTI.
  • Organize informational sessions and community events to highlight RTTI’s benefits.

Technical Training and Delivery

  • Facilitate in-person workshops and seminars, delivering technical content from the RTTI curriculum.
  • Guide learners in mastering hybrid learning materials, addressing technical challenges, and progressing through the program.
  • Collaborate with the IHS Learning Academy to tailor teaching methods and tools to the specific needs of each center.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations at the designated learning center, including infrastructure, scheduling, and learner engagement.
  • Ensure the implementation of training programs adheres to RTTI standards.
  • Organize periodic activation events, capstone project workshops, and hackathons.

Stakeholder and Participant Engagement

  • Build and nurture relationships with community organizations, industry leaders, and local government officials.
  • Provide mentorship and support to learners, ensuring active participation and successful program completion.

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track learner progress, collect feedback, and use insights to improve program delivery.
  • Report center performance metrics, challenges, and success stories to the Project Manager.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of in-person workshops and gather qualitative data on learner outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced certifications in digital skills, software development, or related areas are an advantage.

Professional Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in technical training, education, or project management.
  • Proven experience in delivering training sessions or workshops.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficiency in programming, digital literacy tools, and technologies covered in the RTTI curriculum.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.

Flexibility

  • Willingness to travel frequently between assigned centers.

To ensure the program’s success through local expertise and active community involvement, candidates must confirm that they currently reside in one of the designated districts listed below. This residency requirement is an essential part of the hiring process, reflecting RTTI’s dedication to empowering local communities and ensuring education accessibility in their respective regions.

  • Muhanga District: 1 Position
